מסגרות מדיה: הנחיות אתיקה

מדיניות האתיקה של כתב העת נועדה לוודא דיוק, שקיפות, הוגנות ואיכות של הפרסומים.

תהליך הביקורת

בכתב העת מתבצע שיפוט עיוור כפול, כלומר, השופטים אינם יודעים את זהות המחברים והמחברים אינם יודעים את זהות השופטים.

בדרך כלל מתקיים בכתב העת שיפוט כפול עבור מאמרים מקוריים (מחקר) ושיפוט יחיד עבור מסות ותגובות. העורך הראשי רשאי להפעיל את שיקול דעתו ולבקש חוות דעת נוספות.

השופטים מחויבים לשמירה על סודיות המאמרים הנסקרים. השופטים מתחייבים לא להעלות את כתב היד הנסקר לכלי בינה מלאכותית למיניהם.

מצופה מהשופטים לפסול עצמם מסקירה של כתב יד במקרה שהם חושבים שעשוי להיות ניגוד עניינים או כל קשר אישי ומקצועי העלול לגרום למשוא פנים בתהליך השיפוט. במקרה של חשש לניגוד עניינים, יש לפנות לעורך הראשי.

כתב העת דוגל במדיניות של שפה מכבדת. הכותבים ישתמשו בשפה מכילה ומכבדת כלפי מושאי הכתיבה (מומלץ להיוועץ בהנחיות APA). השופטים ישתמשו בשפה מכבדת במשוב לכותבים.

החלטות המערכת

כלל ההחלטות הסופיות לגבי תכני כתב העת מתקבלות בידי העורך הראשי. החלטות משותפות לגבי גיליונות מיוחדים, מדיניות כתב העת, פרסים ומקרים חריגים מתקבלות בידי חברי המערכת.

בלעדיות הפרסומים

בעת הפרסום על המחברים להצהיר כי המאמר אינו נמצא כעת בתהליך שיפוט בכתב עת אחר ולהתחייב כי המאמר לא יוגש לסקירה בבמה אחרת כל עוד נמשך תהליך השיפוט הנוכחי.

ככלל, לא יתקבל לשיפוט מאמר שחלק מהותי ממנו פורסם בעבר. עם זאת, בהתאם למדיניות כתב העת ולצרכיו, יישקל במקרים מסוימים פרסום חומרים שפורסמו בשפה אחרת מלבד עברית. על המחברים ליידע את העורך הראשי אם ברצונם להגיש חומרים מסוג זה ולקבל על כך אישור.

ניגוד עניינים

על המחברים להצהיר על כל קשר פיננסי, מוסדי או אישי, העלול באופן סביר להיתפס כבעל השפעה על המחקר, הניתוח והמסקנות שהם מציגים. מדובר במקורות מימון, מענקים ושיוך לארגונים שיש להם נגיעה בנושא הנידון. ההצהרה צריכה להינתן בעת ההגשה.

העורך הראשי לא יקבל החלטות מערכתיות הנוגעות לכתבי היד שבהם קיים לו ניגוד עניינים; מקרים כאלו יטופלו בידי חבר מערכת שימונה לטפל בכך.

מהימנות הנתונים והמחקר

ציפיית כתב העת היא שכל המאמרים המוגשים ישקפו הליכי מחקר כנים, מדויקים וישרים. מאמרים הכוללים נתונים בדויים, שקריים או שנמסרו באופן חלקי ומגמתי, יידחו ופרסומם יוסר במידה שפורסמו כבר.

אנו מעודדים את המחברים להעמיד את הנתונים הבסיסיים לרשות קהל הקוראים, כאשר הדבר מתאפשר מבחינה אתית ומשפטית. כמו כן, אנו ממליצים למחברים לתאר את מקור הנתונים ואת ההליכים האנליטיים שביצעו בשקיפות מספקת שתאפשר את שחזורם בידי חוקרים אחרים.

לא יתפרסמו מאמרים שעוסקים בבני אדם שלא קיבלו אישור מוועדת האתיקה המוסדית (IRB).

תיקונים והסרת פרסומים

כתב העת מחויב לשמירה על מהימנות הפרסום. אם יתגלו שגיאות לאחר הפרסום, יחליט העורך על המענה ההולם. אם תימצאנה שגיאות עובדתיות קלות, ניתן לפרסם תיקון; אם תתגלנה שגיאות המשפיעות באופן משמעותי על הממצאים או המסקנות, ייתכן פרסום של הודעת אזהרה מטעם העורך (expression of concern) או שהפרסום יוסר לגמרי מכתב העת.

מקוריות הפרסום

על המחברים לתרום תרומה אינטלקטואלית אמיתית לעבודה. כתב העת מניח שכלל המחברים הרשומים השתתפו בפיתוח המסגרת הרעיונית, בעיצוב ובביצוע המחקר, בניתוח הממצאים ובאישור כתב היד הסופי. אם נתקבלה תמיכה נוספת מאינדיבידואלים שונים (למשל: איסוף נתונים, עריכה או תרגום) יש לציין זאת, אך אין לרשום אותם כמחברים.

אין לרשום כלי בינה מלאכותית כמחברים. במקרה שבו נערך שימוש בכלי בינה מלאכותית במחקר או בכתיבה באופנים שמצריכים גילוי נאות, יש לציין זאת בסעיף שיטת המחקר.

עלויות הפרסום

הפרסום בכתב העת הוא ללא תשלום.

יש למחברים האפשרות להזמין תרגום מקצועי של כתב היד, מלבד הפרסום בעברית (שהנו ללא תשלום). הפקת גרסה מתורגמת של כתב היד כרוכה בתשלום נוסף, כמצוין בהנחיות באתר של כתב העת. העלויות מצוינות באתר כתב העת.

העורך הראשי רשאי להפעיל שיקול דעת לגבי כתבי היד (מאמרים מקוריים, מסות) המתאימים לתרגום. איכות התרגום מופקדת בידי כתב העת והמחברים אינם רשאים לתרגם את כתבי היד בעצמם.

מדיניות שימוש בבינה מלאכותית

כלים מבוססי בינה מלאכותית המיועדים לשיפור עבודה קיימת, כגון כלים לשיפור הניסוח, הדקדוק או המבנה, נחשבים כלי עזר. מותר להשתמש בהם בכפוף להצהרה של המחברים בעת ההגשה. עם זאת, האחריות הבלעדית לדיוק ההגשה ולעמידתה בסטנדרטים של מחקר מדעי מוטלת על המחברים.

בעת הגשת המאמר יש להצהיר אם נעשה שימוש מלא או חלקי בכלי בינה מלאכותית או במודלים גדולים של שפה (LLMs) לצורך הפקת תוכן, כגון מקורות, טקסט, תמונות או כל תוכן אחר שיש לו השפעה ישירה על שיטת המחקר, הניתוח, התוצאות או המסקנות. הצהרה זו תסייע למערכת להעריך את התוכן המופק באופן מתאים.

להלן רשימה של שימושים הולמים בבינה מלאכותית יוצרת במחקר:

1. סיוע בסקירת ספרות או באיסוף מקורות רלוונטיים.
2. סיוע בעריכת רשימת מקורות.
3. תרגום חומרים כחלק מתהליך המחקר.
4. שימוש בתוכנה או בקוד שנוצרו באמצעות בינה מלאכותית לצורך ביצוע מחקר נוסף.
5. סיוע בהמחשה חזותית של נתוני מחקר.
6. יצירת איורים מייצגים או אינפוגרפיקה.

על המחברים להיות בקיאים בתוכן המקורות שהם מאזכרים. בינה מלאכותית אינה תחליף לקריאה ולאימות של המקורות המאוזכרים. אזכור מקורות שהומצאו בידי בינה מלאכותית ולא אומתו, עלול לגרום לפסילה של כתב היד והסרתו אם כבר פורסם.

שופטים החושדים בשימוש בלתי הולם בבינה מלאכותית יוצרת במסגרת ההגשה לכתב העת מתבקשים ליידע את העורך הראשי.

The journal’s ethics policy is designed to ensure the accuracy, transparency, fairness, and quality of its publications.

The Review Process

The journal employs double-blind peer review; that is, reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

As a rule, original (research) articles undergo review by two reviewers, while essays and commentaries undergo review by a single reviewer. The Editor-in-Chief may exercise discretion and request additional evaluations.

Reviewers are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts under review. Reviewers undertake not to upload manuscripts under review to artificial intelligence tools of any kind.

Reviewers are expected to recuse themselves from reviewing a manuscript if they believe there may be a conflict of interest, or any personal or professional relationship that could bias the review process. In cases of a potential conflict of interest, reviewers should contact the Editor-in-Chief.

The journal upholds a policy of respectful language. Authors shall use inclusive and respectful language toward the subjects of their writing (consulting the APA guidelines is recommended). Reviewers shall use respectful language in their feedback to authors.

Editorial Decisions

All final decisions regarding the journal’s content are made by the Editor-in-Chief. Joint decisions regarding special issues, journal policy, awards, and exceptional cases are made by the members of the editorial board.

Exclusivity of Publications

Upon submission, authors must declare that the article is not currently under review at another journal and undertake not to submit the article for review elsewhere for as long as the current review process is ongoing.

As a rule, an article of which a substantial part has been previously published will not be accepted for review. However, in accordance with the journal’s policy and needs, the publication of materials previously published in a language other than Hebrew may be considered in certain cases. Authors must inform the Editor-in-Chief if they wish to submit materials of this kind and obtain approval to do so.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationship that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research, analysis, and conclusions they present. This includes funding sources, grants, and affiliations with organizations that have a stake in the subject under discussion. The disclosure must be provided at the time of submission.

The Editor-in-Chief will not make editorial decisions concerning manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest; such cases will be handled by an editorial board member appointed for that purpose.

Integrity of Data and Research

The journal expects all submitted articles to reflect honest, accurate, and rigorous research practices. Articles containing fabricated or falsified data, or data presented in a partial and tendentious manner, will be rejected, and their publication will be retracted if they have already been published.

We encourage authors to make their underlying data available to readers, where this is ethically and legally possible. We also recommend that authors describe their data sources and analytical procedures with sufficient transparency to allow their reproduction by other researchers.

Articles involving human subjects will not be published without approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Corrections and Retractions

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of its publications. If errors are discovered after publication, the Editor will decide on the appropriate response. If minor factual errors are found, a correction may be published; if errors are discovered that significantly affect the findings or conclusions, an expression of concern may be issued by the Editor, or the publication may be retracted from the journal entirely.

Originality and Authorship

Authors must make a genuine intellectual contribution to the work. The journal assumes that all listed authors participated in developing the conceptual framework, in the design and execution of the research, in the analysis of the findings, and in the approval of the final manuscript. If additional support was received from other individuals (e.g., data collection, editing, or translation), this should be acknowledged, but such individuals should not be listed as authors.

Artificial intelligence tools must not be listed as authors. Where AI tools were used in the research or writing in ways that require disclosure, this must be noted in the Methods section.

Publication Fees

Publication in the journal is free of charge.

Authors have the option of commissioning a professional translation of their manuscript, in addition to publication in Hebrew (which is free of charge). Producing a translated version of the manuscript entails an additional fee, as specified in the guidelines on the journal’s website. The costs are listed on the journal’s website.

The Editor-in-Chief may exercise discretion regarding which manuscripts (original articles, essays) are suitable for translation. The quality of the translation is the responsibility of the journal, and authors are not permitted to translate their manuscripts themselves.

Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

AI-based tools intended to improve existing work, such as tools for improving phrasing, grammar, or structure, are considered assistive tools. Their use is permitted, subject to a declaration by the authors at the time of submission. Nevertheless, sole responsibility for the accuracy of the submission and its compliance with the standards of scientific research rests with the authors.

At the time of submission, authors must declare whether artificial intelligence tools or large language models (LLMs) were used, in full or in part, to generate content, such as references, text, images, or any other content that has a direct bearing on the research methods, analysis, results, or conclusions. This declaration will help the editorial board evaluate the generated content appropriately.

The following is a list of appropriate uses of generative AI in research:

1. Assistance with literature review or with collecting relevant sources.
2. Assistance with compiling a reference list.
3. Translation of materials as part of the research process.
4. Use of software or code generated by AI for the purpose of conducting further research.
5. Assistance with the visualization of research data.
6. Creation of representative illustrations or infographics.

Authors must be thoroughly familiar with the content of the sources they cite. Artificial intelligence is not a substitute for reading and verifying cited sources. Citing sources that were invented by AI and not verified may result in the rejection of the manuscript, or its retraction if already published.

Reviewers who suspect inappropriate use of generative AI in a submission to the journal are asked to inform the Editor-in-Chief.

Other Matters

In all other respects, the journal will consult the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines on ethics in academic publishing.
